I had gotten Chris a Football display box for his dads football. I knew that he wanted it where he could see it and not in the closet in a bag. So, me and Adam got on the phone and started calling around and found some in Longview and I went and picked this one out. It has real glass and a mirror, where some were just plexy glass and plain. This one isn't supper fancy by any means.....but it was the best of what I was able to go and physically see and buy that day, so we would have it in time for his birthday.
It had been on this shelf in the Living room for a few days before his birthday.... I knew he wouldn't see it, he just isnt observant and isn't home enough to observe if he was. ha... :) So, we told him to lift the picture behind these little marble statue things....and when he did, the football was behind it in the glass box I bought him. :)
It makes Chris really happy to have his family all home and to eat at the table....it is one of those rare moments that we get to do that and so his birthday we have been able to keep that tradition. Just wish Steven and Emily and Ben could of made it. Ben had to work and of course Steven & Emily are in Utah.
Only a MOTHER....would show up after the festivities and come and clean up. I don't know If days later....I would had energy to of cleaned that kitchen...ha...but mom came over and visited and cleaned up the mess. How nice is that. :)
When we finished all the fun, Adam had to take a test for his Online-course he is taking in Algebra.....you could of fooled me.....it was worse than a foreign language! How on earth can that stuff be used in real life.....but I guess someone does somewhere....thank goodness its not me. :) ha... :)
Anyway............his sweet little tutor helped him take and retake the test until he made 100! :) She could help him understand it all somehow.... I couldn't but he did and that's all that mattered. :) He has a sweet little tutor doesn't he! :)
